The Genomics of Wild-Type GIST
JASON SICKLICK: Dr. Sicklick is Associate Professor of Surgery at the UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center. He is a general surgeon and surgical oncologist, and he specializes in sarcomas and GISTs. Dr. Sicklick received his MD from the UCLA School of Medicine, completed his general surgery residency at Johns Hopkins, and he completed a fellowship in surgical oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering. Dr. Sicklick is an active member of the National Cancer Institute’s GIST Working Group and a great number of other working committees. He is widely published and participates in numerous medical societies. Dr. Sicklick’s dual presentation today is “Novel Surgical Approaches for GIST” and “The Genomics of Wild-Type Gist.”
